Tea Review - Avocado Leaf Tea

 Avocado leaves as TEA???? Yep! I had the pleasure of meeting the folks of Avocado Leaf Tea during the World Tea Expo last year and I have to admit - I was intrigued by their Tea. I mean, I love avocado slices on sandwiches and I LOVE guacamole, but TEA? Actually, avocado leaves are some of the healthiest leaves to consume. According to their website, avocado leaves are "a powerful antioxidant, a natural anti-inflammatory, beneficial in a reduced risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and helps kidney function." All of that in one cup of Tea. First Slurp:  The Tea bag I steeped gave off a slightly fresh smell - not in a bad way but more of bright and green. Like a perfect day in June. After allowing the bag to steep for quite some time, my First Slurp brought a smile to my face. The taste of the Tea is slightly grassy/vegetables cooked al dente with a hint of citrus.   Alright folks, here's another interview within the Tea Is A Good Friend of Mine Series - meet Allison! My name is Allison and I am the creator of Tea Time with Allison Lindsay. I live in the southern part of the United States. Originally, I am from Rhode Island and Maine, but moved farther south in my teens. My family has always drank tea. I grew up with English Breakfast and decaf black tea. Tea has always been a part of my life because my family would have a tea party every year to draw names for Christmas gifts. One side of my family is originally from England. So, I always grew up with tea ware and tea. I don’t officially work in the tea industry. I have no formal training as a tea specialist, tea master etc. I am a tea reviewer and blogger. I kind of fell into the role as a tea blogger and Tea Time with Allison Lindsay was born.  I really enjoy working with tea companies and reviewing their products. I feel like I am making a difference in the small business world and helpin
