Tea Is a Good Friend of Mine - James

Wow.

It's September and we are six months into the pandemic. So much has changed - better, worse, and I really don't know. Yet, we still press on, even if it hurts.

I wanted to return to this series because despite everything, we still need and cherish our connections. I want to strengthen mine through good conversations, books, artwork, and TEA!

Recently, I added a new person to my Tea company - James. Not only is he a Tea drinker, but he's also the love of my life. He's also the Director of Art and so far has been an excellent addition to the company:

1 - What’s your name and what part of the world do you live in?

Hi, I'm James. I live in Colorado, USA

2 - How long have you been drinking tea? What’s the story, morning glory?

Tea has been in the house since I can remember. It was always the older generation's drink until I discovered it in my adulthood. Southern sweet tea brewed in glass jugs on sunny days as well as a warm cup of green tea with lemon were popular.

3 - Do you currently work in the Tea industry and if so, what do you do?

I've recently made inroads to the industry by forming opinions and making them known to a very talented tea specialist who selects my best phrases for social media relations.

4 - Why do you enjoy drinking Tea? How does Tea make you feel?

Loose tea blends are new a fascination. I've been trying a wide variety to experience different aromas and taste sensations. Taking a whiff of the dry leaves and botanicals before loading the diffuser is one level of the experience and then the pour of hot water releasing steamed scents is another, and then the steep time enriches the flavors. Always a delight to compare the scent in the nose with the taste on the tongue.

5 - Any special practices or customs you adhere to while drinking your Tea?

Each brew must be tasted just as the hot water has made it. No sweetener or cream. But then I can make a decision if enhancements are needed.

6 - What’s your all time favourite kind/blend of Tea?

For a long time my favorite was Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time. But I've recently discovered a blend from Viridian called Tea of the Dominant. Very strong but with cream and sugar takes a beautiful chai tea flavor.

7 - Finally, what book are you currently reading?

The Alchemist.

Much thanks, James!
