Alright folks, here's another interview within the Tea Is A Good Friend of Mine Series - meet Allison!

My name is Allison and I am the creator of Tea Time with Allison Lindsay. I live in the southern part of the United States. Originally, I am from Rhode Island and Maine, but moved farther south in my teens.

My family has always drank tea. I grew up with English Breakfast and decaf black tea. Tea has always been a part of my life because my family would have a tea party every year to draw names for Christmas gifts. One side of my family is originally from England. So, I always grew up with tea ware and tea.

I don’t officially work in the tea industry. I have no formal training as a tea specialist, tea master etc. I am a tea reviewer and blogger. I kind of fell into the role as a tea blogger and Tea Time with Allison Lindsay was born.  I really enjoy working with tea companies and reviewing their products. I feel like I am making a difference in the small business world and helping them market their amazing products.

It is so calming to drink tea. I love the process of brewing tea. Each tea company has a different product and tastes different. I also enjoy learning about where in the world the tea leaves were grown. It is nice to try a new kind of tea and try it for the first time.

I usually prefer the Western brewing method. The tea kettle is heated, tea is measured with my favorite tea spoon and then popped into the infuser. If I am trying a new tea blend then I need to give the tea a sniff. I’m weird. I generally do not add milk or honey to my tea.

Twinings Lady Grey is my favorite. I also have a Lavender and Rose Rooibos from Matcha Alternatives that is my go to afternoon tea.

I am re-reading Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Bronte. I also just finished reading The Day The World Came To Town 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim Defede.

  When Abby declared that she was now the proud owner of an acoustic bicycle, I rolled my eyes and congratulated her on finally getting that last badge that would claim her to be a Black Hipster.
